Ronica Li

Director

Ronica Li is a recent UofT graduate who is entering law school in 2026. She has previously worked on improving municipal budgeting processes, and providing policy recommendations for care work. Having studied economics, sociology, and philosophy, she is keenly interested in how systems and structures generate both explicit and implicit incentives, as well as the real human consequences that result. Given that framework, she believes that effective policies need to be informed not only by thoughtful modelling, but by the lived experiences of those who are most deeply impacted. Throughout her undergraduate degree, she witnessed the rapid spread and careless adoption of AI within higher education, and has since seen further and hastened proliferation into society and workplaces. As such, she feels an urgency to act swiftly and strategically to address AI and work to mitigate its impacts.
