McEwen Reil
Treasurer
McEwen Reil is an aspiring economist and a student at the University of Toronto. He is currently working towards earning dual degrees: a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and English, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
He actively works as a freelance Substitute Debate Coach and is a highly involved member of the Hart House Debate Club. In the club, he serves as a competitor, judge, and has been part of the tournament planning committee, holding positions such as Foods Director and Runners Director. His proficiency in debate is highlighted by several honors, including being a quarterfinalist at the Guidon Open Tournament and the novice champion at the McGill Winter Carnival.
Beyond his academic and debate pursuits, McEwen has held diverse roles, including Event Planner for Auberge Francophone, a campaigner for a political party in Etobicoke North, and a Kitchen Porter at Major Tom Bar in Calgary. He also has a long-term volunteer history with the Calgary Interfaith Food Bank and served as a Junior Instructor for Pedalheads Bike Camps.
